South Atlanta’s Aleia Smith is a State Bar of Georgia Law Academy Graduate!
Congratulations to South Atlanta Law and Social Justice’s Aleeia Smith who graduated from the 2014 State Bar of Georgia Law Academy! This is a major accomplishment for Aleeia who is an 11th grader in the school.
The Law Academy is a very prestigious and selective program that chooses students based on their commitment to the Mock Trial, a program sponsored by the State Bar of Georgia that provides authentic opportunities for students to serve as attorneys, bailiffs, court officers and witnesses during a mock trial.
Aleeia was awarded a student law degree after taking a miniature bar exam. She is a student attorney in the Mock Trial program. The program encourages students to grow and mature as leaders while helping to develop leadership skills in fellow teammates.
Did you know that South Atlanta School of Law and Social Justice was recently named among the Washington Post’s 2014 most academically rigorous high schools? I am so proud of the accomplishments of our students and of this school. Way to go Principal Charlotte Davis – keep up the great work!
