Happy Veterans Day

Today, as a nation, we say a collective thank you to the 21.4 million veterans who have served and protected our country during times of war and peace.  President Dwight D. Eisenhower proclaimed November 11^th as Veterans Day in 1954 to “…preserve our heritage of freedom.”  Atlanta Public Schools is proud to have many of these brave men and women in our ranks as teachers, administrators and in almost every division of the organization.   We are also very proud of the thousands of APS cadets serving in our high school JROTC program.  The skills and discipline they are learning will prove useful for the rest of their lives.
