My Adventures with BackPack Bear – Part I

Yesterday I blogged about my new friend Backpack Bear from Ms. Swalm’s kindergarten class at Jackson Primary.  As the class Star of the Week I am responsible for taking the bear home, introducing him to my family, friends and co-workers and taking photos of our adventures.  Take a look at how we spent our weekend!

We started our weekend working out!  Check out Backpack Bear on the treadmill with me.  He’s hitting his goal of 10,000 steps each and every day.

We were always safe in my Avalanche truck. He wears his seatbelt and sits in the back.

It was a great weekend to spend time in Centennial Park.  I’m still getting to know Atlanta and Backpack Bear was there to show me all of the cool holiday decorations.  Look at those ornaments…and that tree!

Tomorrow I’ll give you a glimpse of how Backpack Bear helped me with big decisions in meetings at APS, how he helped me communicate with our community partners and how he helped volunteer as an elf in Santa’s Village.  Stay tuned!
